PAUL McCARTNEY / WINGS GOLD PRESENTATION DISC. This Gold EMI presentation disk was awarded to Guitarist Henry McCullough in recognition of 100.000 sales of the 'Red Rose Speedway album released in 1973. In 1972 Paul McCartney asked Henry McCullough to join his new band Wings, alongside Denny Laine and Denny Seiwell. He spent two years in the band, playing lead guitar on several singles as well as the album Red Rose Speedway. Musical differences with McCartney saw McCullough leave on the eve of the 'Band on the Run' sessions. On 14 June 2016, his wife Josie confirmed that he had died at his home at Ballywindelland, Northern Ireland from complications from a previous heart attack. Slight markings found to the frame.
